Connect Klaviyo
Klaviyo connects with a one-time authorization in Klaviyo itself — you approve Untaggle's access there and never paste an API key. Untaggle can then add buyers to your lists, grant or revoke consent, and record a purchase event your flows can trigger on.
What you need
- A Klaviyo account you can authorize apps for (an owner or admin login).
- You must be an admin of your Untaggle account.
Steps
- In Untaggle, open Connections and click + Connect platform, then pick Klaviyo.
- Click Connect. Klaviyo opens and asks you to approve access to profiles, lists, subscriptions, events and metrics. Klaviyo shows an “unreviewed app” notice — that is expected for a private integration like this one.
- Approve. You are sent back to Untaggle and the connection shows a ✓ with your Klaviyo account.
There is nothing to register in Klaviyo afterwards. Klaviyo's access tokens are short-lived by design, so Untaggle refreshes them automatically at the next call — you won't see this connection flagged as expired for that. If it ever shows Disconnected, Klaviyo revoked the authorization and you'll need to connect again.
What this enables
- Actions: add a buyer to a list (Klaviyo's equivalent of a tag) or remove them, subscribe them (grants email consent and respects the list's double opt-in setting), unsubscribe them, and record a purchase event that Klaviyo flows can trigger on — so a purchase or form submission on your selling platform lands in Klaviyo correctly listed and, if you want, kicks off a flow.
- Unsubscribe sync: an unsubscribe in Klaviyo is honored on your other platforms, and their opt-outs are honored in Klaviyo. Klaviyo does not send webhooks to apps like Untaggle, so Untaggle checks for new Klaviyo unsubscribes every few minutes — expect a short delay in that direction. How unsubscribe sync works.
